Perform management and design tasks associated with land development applications in the State of NJ including overseeing the preparation of Site and Subdivision Plans. Tasks would also include the design of stormwater management facilities and preparing Stormwater Management Reports pursuant to NJAC 7:8. Applicant should be prepared to work with AutoCAD to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines. Applicant should regularly have appeared before Zoning Board and Planning Boards to provide expert testimony in the field of engineering.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Coordinate with Co-Workers, clients and regulatory agency staff members
Perform grading and drainage designs in compliance with the requirements of NJAC 7:8
Prepare Utility Designs for water and sewer mains/laterals serving a variety of developments
Work independently and within a team environment to accomplish various goals
Provide verbal and written correspondence outlining the status of projects within the various stages of approval
Oversee the preparation of agency applications for the submission of site and subdivision plans
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage civil designers and drafters to efficiently prepare subdivision and site plan documents for agency approval
Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
5 to 8 years of related site/civil land development experience or possess relevant work experience
Professional engineering license required
Knowledge of municipal, county and state land use regulations in NJ
Proficiency in stormwater management analysis, hydraulic design, grading and other site development related designs
